The Red River VW Club is based in Fargo, North Dakota and Moorhead, Minnesota. We invite anyone who enjoys Volkswagens of any type to join us for our meetings and events scheduled throughout the year. |

– Saturday April 12 – The Club will meet at Burger King (1333 19 Ave N. Fargo, ND) at 10:30am. From there, we will drive north where we will have our April meeting at The Blue Moose Bar and Grill ( 507 2nd St NW East Grand Forks, MN) at around 12:00pm. After the meeting, we will attend the Prime Steel Car Show at the Alerus Center ( 1200 42nd St S. Grand Forks , ND) and support club members Jayson Ackerson and Peggy Skaflen as they enter their VWs in the car show. |

- Saturday April 26 - The Red River VW Club will be taking a cruise to Casselton, ND to visit a relic of roadside Americana, the Casselton Can Pile. We will meet at Sandy's Donuts (301 Main Ave W. West Fargo, ND) at 10:30am. From there, we will drive down County Road 10 until we reach Casselton, ND. We will visit the Can Pile and finish the cruise by having lunch at the Capitol Restaurant & Kerry's Sweet Shop (I-94 Exit 331 and Hwy 18 in Casselton, ND - near the Can Pile). The Can Pile was built in 1933 by Max Taulbert who operated a truck stop/restaurant on Hwy 10. The pile was created from old oil cans used at the service station. The Can Pile is scheduled to be torn down sometime in May 2008. |

| * 4th Annual Spring Cruise |

The 4th Annual Spring Cruise to Detroit Lakes is scheduled for Saturday, May 10th. We will meet at McDonalds Restaurant (3009 Hwy 10 E. Moorhead, MN) at 10:30am. From there, we will drive down Hwy 10 to Detroit Lakes, MN where we will stop at the home/shop of Fred and Chris Garnes. There will be a pot-luck barbeque followed by several technical demonstrations, and if the weather is good, possibly a drive around "lakes country".

| * 3rd Annual - Volkswagens in the Valley Weekend |

The Red River VW Club's 3rd Annual Volkswagens in the Valley is scheduled for Friday July 25 and Saturday July 26, 2008! - Friday, July 25 - A pre-show barbeque will be held at Lindenwood Park in Fargo, ND starting at 6pm and will continue until sundown. The park also features camping with electricity, showers and bathrooms, several playgrounds, ballfields and volleyball courts, equipment rental, bike trails and fishing. - Saturday, July 26 - The car show and swap meet on Saturday will be at Valley Imports (402 40th Street S. Fargo, ND). More trophies will be awarded this year including a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Peoples' Choice Award, a Furthest Distance Award, and Dealer's Choice Award among others. Free food and door prizes will also be provided. Bring non-perishable food items for our "Bug Cram Food Drive". We will stuff a VW Beetle with canned food which will be donated to the Emergency Food Bank in Fargo. |
